Introduction to the World Wide Web
- The Internet grew making it difficult to find specific information
- The World Wide Web (WWW) increase the easy and quickness to retrieve information
- Before WWW, TCP/IP services were Gopher, FTP, and Archie
- The WWW was built on the technology called Hypertext
- WWW has a protocol, which is known as HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
- The WWW is intended to help people share information resources, so the WWW
was designed to work on multiple platforms
