<PRE> </PRE> tags:

• Define a segment of text that renders the browser to the exact spacing defined in the source HTML document.
• Normal word wrapping and paragraph filling are disabled
• Intergrity of columns and rows of characters are retained
• Tab characters are NOT ignored
• May render text with a fixed-pitch font
• Common use of the <PRE> is to present computer source code
